Introducing Sovereign Gin, the latest botanical spirit from Long Road Distillers.
This new fixture in our year-round portfolio is built from a botanical blend of juniper, lime peel, grapefruit peel, bay leaf, Thai basil and more!
While the flavor profile, alone, is enough to excite, the most unique aspect of Sovereign Gin is its brilliant violet hue. The gin has been naturally colored with butterfly pea flower and changes color to bright pink or royal blue based on the acidity of the spirit and what is mixed into it.
Process & Techniques:
- Milled from whole grain and fermented on site
- Made from Red Winter Wheat from Heffron Farms in Belding, MI
Tasting Notes:
- Juniper offers traditional foundation of gin aromatics and flavors
- Lime and Grapefruit peel contribute bursts of citrus sweet and bitter
- Bay Leaf and Thai Basil provide pleasant floral and herbal notes
- Butterfly Pea Flower creates brilliant violet color in bottle

Cocktail Recipe
FT. LONG ROAD DRY GIN
Ingredients needed: 2 oz dry gin, 1 oz fresh lemon juice, 1 oz Long Road Lavender Simple Syrup
- Add gin, lemon juice, and simple syrup to a cocktail shaker.
- Shake.
- Strain into cocktail glass.
- Enjoy!
