Orange Liqueur

DRIER THAN YOUR AVERAGE ORANGE LIQUEUR – IN ALL THE RIGHT WAYS

Long Road Orange Liqueur is the latest in a series of elevated fruit liqueurs that aim to change the perception of what the category can offer. Infused with two varieties of orange peel and select botanicals, it offers a balanced dose of citrus with complex herbaceous notes. It’s drier than your average orange liqueur, but in all the right ways.

Enjoy this new standard as a sipping cordial over ice, or in your favorite classic cocktail – like a Corpse Reviver No. 2 or Sidecar!

Process & Techniques:

  • Base spirit milled from whole grain and fermented on-site
  • Infused with bitter and naval orange peel and a variety of botanicals, including wormwood, clove and cardamom
  • Proofed to bottle strength with house-made simple syrup
  • Non-chill filtered
  • Not treated with any carbon or charcoal filtration techniques

Tasting Notes:

  • Bright, citrus notes on the nose
  • Well balanced citrus and herbal notes on the palate.
  • Slightly dry with a hint of sweetness.

The sourcing team at Madcap tastes thousands of different coffees in order to select the best of the best. Their process resonated with our approach “Take No Shortcuts” and the coffee used in Amaro Pazzo really helped to set this unique spirit apart.
Tasting notes include: • Bitter sweet nose with deep coffee undertones
• Initial pop of bright, sweet citrus gives way to layers of bitter
• Finishes with bitter complexity and a balance of tropical sweetness, rich coffee and snappy citrus

No, not a cocktail name. We’re talking about the two strainers used in this photo!
Why double strain?
The Hawthorne Strainer catches all the bigger ice pieces, but the mesh strainer serves as backup to catch smaller bits of ice and any other ingredients that might get past the first strainer.
Makes for a cleaner pour and presentation for your drink. Try it at home next time you’re making a cocktail!
