RTD Production Team Member
Location: Long Road Distillers Production Facility – Grand Rapids
Supervisor: Head Distiller & Canning Team Lead
Compensation: Hourly+
POSITION OVERVIEW
A RTD Production Team Member is a critical role within our Production Team, primarily responsible for assisting in the packaging of our innovative ready-to-drink canned cocktails using our state-of-the-art canning line as well as assisting in the bottling of our award winning spirits portfolio. This position will work with our a small team of distillery and canning employees ensuring that product quality and efficiency are maintained at the highest standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience working on a packaging line, ideally within the beer, soda, or spirits industry.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment problems.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality control and assurance.
- Ability to lift heavy items and stand for prolonged periods.
- Flexibility to work different shifts, including occasional evenings and weekends, as required by production schedules.
- Excellent work ethic and communication skills, capable of working with a team and working collaboratively with various departments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Duties and Responsibilities to include (but are not limited to):
- Daily operation of the canning line, ensuring efficient packaging of canned cocktails.
- Assisting with inventory of packaging materials, production supplies, ingredients and other items necessary for the creation of all canned products.
- Assist with the batching, mixing, blending and carbonation of all products according to established specifications
- Perform daily quality and analytical checks
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with established standards and protocols
- Maintain a high level of quality control and assurance throughout the packaging process, adhering to company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues, perform routine maintenance, and assist with part changeovers to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
- Assist with deliveries of products to our retail locations.
- Work closely with Can Team Lead and Distillers to uphold product quality and availability.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and organized work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment is fast-paced, and can be loud and wet at times. The role requires physical stamina, including lifting and prolonged standing.
Typical shifts are between 8 AM and 6 PM, with the need for flexibility to accommodate periodic evenings and weekends based on special projects and production needs. Work week requires some flexibility depending on production schedule.

Bartender Grand Haven
Location: Long Road Distillers Grand Haven
Supervisor: General Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW
Long Road Distillers, Grand Haven is adding a bartender to our talented, energetic, and creative team. We work hard, enjoy what we do, and take pride in our spirits and level of service. We are dedicated to creating an exemplary experience for each and every customer, and need your help to accomplish that. We are looking for a self-starter who will quickly amass an in-depth familiarity with Long Road’s spirits and signature cocktails, as well as the operations of our bar and dining area. As the first line of service at Long Road, our bartenders must be able to educate customers on our spirits, from the milling of the grain, all the way to the glass as part of a proper cocktail.
QUALIFICATIONS
● Positive interpersonal skills required
● Previous bartending experience required
● Excellent verbal communication skills required
● Ability to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 50 pounds or less
● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while following detailed instructions
● In-depth knowledge of craft spirits and cocktails desired
Education/Training
● Must be at least 18 years of age
● ServSafe Alcohol Certification, or equivalent certification required
RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Duties and Responsibilities to include (but are not limited to):
● Understand and explain drinks, cocktails and other bar beverages as ordered and in accordance with LRD recipes and standards
● Greet guests, take beverage orders directly from guests and from other service staff
● Check identification of guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
● Collect payment for drinks and food orders served and balance all receipts
● Ensure that assigned bar area is fully equipped with tools and products needed for serving guests prior to each shift and as needed
● Serve food items to guests as needed
● Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of spirits, cocktails, and food menu (when applicable) in order to answer questions or educate guests on LRD process and mission
● Maintain a clean working area by sweeping, cleaning, and sanitizing as needed
● Comply with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health standards
Server – Grand Rapids
Location: Long Road Distillers Grand Rapids
Supervisor: General Manager
Compensation: Hourly + Tips
POSITION OVERVIEW
Long Road Distillers, Grand Rapids’ first craft distillery, is adding part-time servers to our talented, energetic, and creative team. We work hard, enjoy what we do, and take pride in our spirits and level of service. We are dedicated to creating an exemplary experience for each and every customer, and need your help to accomplish that. We are looking for a self-starter who will quickly amass an in-depth familiarity with Long Road’s spirits and signature cocktails, as well as the operations of our bar and dining area. As the first line of service at Long Road, our bartenders and servers must be able to educate customers on our spirits, from the milling of the grain, all the way to the glass as part of a proper cocktail.
This a part-time opportunity with the potential for working at both of our Grand Rapids locations, growth and advancement.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Serve drinks, snacks, and food orders to guests seated in dining area
- Clear tables of dishes, utensils and glassware and bring to kitchen for washing
- Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of spirits, cocktails, and food menu in order to answer questions or educate guests on LRD process and mission
- Participate in regular trainings to learn about LRD spirits, drinks and food
- Maintain a clean working area by sweeping, cleaning, and sanitizing as needed
- Ensure chairs and floor area around tables and waiting area are clean
- Assist with other duties as needed, particularly during opening and closing shifts
- Comply with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health standards
Line Cook/Prep Cook – Grand Rapids
Location: Long Road Distillers Grand Rapids
Supervisor: Head Chef
Compensation: From $18.00 per hour
POSITION OVERVIEW
Long Road Distillers in Grand Rapids, is looking to add a Line Cook to our talented, energetic, and creative kitchen team. We work hard, enjoy what we do, and take pride in our spirits, food, and level of service. We are looking for a self-starter who will quickly amass an in-depth familiarity with the kitchen’s operations so that they may assist the Executive Chef and Prep Cook in preparing appetizers and entrees, maintaining a clean working environment, and ensuring the highest quality experience for our customers and guests.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Be precise and detail oriented
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with prep cooks, wait staff and Chef
- Ability to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 50 pounds or less
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, hot environment
- Flexibility with job duties and shifts, willing to arrive 10 minutes prior to assigned shift
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment and safety best practices
- Knowledge of cooking procedures
- Manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills
- Prior experience in related food service positions preferred
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required)

RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Duties and Responsibilities to include (but are not limited to):
- Correctly prepare all food served following standard recipes and special diet orders
- Prepare food in collaboration with Executive Chef so that excellence, quality, temperature, and appearance of food is achieved and preserved
- Keep work area neat and clean at all times; clean equipment used in food preparation
- Comply with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health standards.
- Observe proper food preparation and handling techniques
- Wash dishes and pots and operate dish washing equipment
- Empty trash containers as required
- Maintain a friendly work environment through constant, positive communication
